Mark your calendars! The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) is partnering with Proflight Zambia to host its 55th AASA AGA at Ciêla Resort & Spa, Lusaka, from October 15 –19, 2025 .
The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) is the principal voice for airlines in the Southern African region, operating as a representative industry body. Their core role includes advocating on behalf of its member airlines in matters of policy, regulation, safety, operations and economic sustainability. They engage with regulators, aviation authorities, airports, air navigation service providers and governments to influence favorable conditions for airlines and the broader aviation sector.
Importantly, AASA also addresses issues such as airport/air traffic charges, infrastructure standards, environmental regulation, consumer legislation and regional airspace harmonization all of which affect airline viability and the cost of air travel. Their role is particularly important for countries like Zambia, where aviation is a key enabler of trade, tourism and investment.
We’re proud to see Proflight Zambia take the lead as host of this year’s AASA AGA in Lusaka, a milestone that reflects both the airline’s growth and Zambia’s rising presence in regional aviation. As the country’s largest and proudly Zambian owned carrier, Proflight has spent over three decades connecting people, businesses and destinations across the region with reliability, safety and heart.

Their role goes beyond logistics, it’s a powerful statement of national capability and progress. It positions Zambia as a serious player in the aviation conversation, creates opportunities for new partnerships and investments and showcases the local talent, innovation and infrastructure that keep our skies moving. In many ways, Proflight’s leadership at this event mirrors what the airline has always stood for: connecting Zambia to opportunity and putting our nation confidently on the aviation map.
What to Expect?
Delegates can look forward to a powerful mix of ideas, innovation and collaboration. The event will centre on key priorities such as competitiveness, sustainability, connectivity, digitalisation, inclusivity, and regulatory alignment.
Attendees will engage in inspiring sessions on aviation’s future, explore the latest technologies on a dynamic exhibition floor and connect with over 180 delegates from 46 countries. With expert-led workshops, airline-focused discussions and record CEO attendance, the AGA promises to be a landmark gathering that drives meaningful dialogue and progress for African aviation.
